First Baptist Tuscaloosa is devoted to partnering with parents and families to help build strong spiritual foundations for each of the children in our ministry and in our community in a fun, encouraging, and safe atmosphere.

Sandy Howell joined FBCT as Ministry Assistant in 2001. Always willing to share a smile or nugget of wisdom, she helps the church in various ways. She has two grandchildren, Ellis and Rhodes. As a safety/security measure, First Baptist Church uses a computerized check-in system for children. Parents are given a security badge to show to leaders in order to pick-up their child. We value the safety of our families.

We provide WorshipCare for children birth – PreK during both worship hours (8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.), and Life Groups for all ages at 9:45 a.m. At the 11:00 hour in addition to WorshipCare, we have Kids Praise, which is a children’s worship time for Kindergarten – 3rd graders.

On Wednesday nights, we serve a church-wide meal from 5-5:45pm in our Fellowship Hall. Music and Bible activities (for kids birth-5th grade) is in the Family Ministry Building from 6:00 - 7:30pm.
