Named in association with the street address of the church, 721 Greensboro Avenue, The 721 Project is an initiative designed to raise money for a defined project prior to beginning the project. To date, this “pay as we go” strategy has enabled First Baptist to fund four major projects while simultaneously reducing its debt by 86% over the last four years. Completed projects include modernizing TV ministry equipment/work space, adding a restroom in the lobby of the Sanctuary, constructing an elevator on the north end of the church campus and purchasing a shuttle to transport attenders from parking lots to the church. More than $850,000 has been given to the project to date.

The next chapter of our 721 Project has begun! This chapter focuses on improving access to the church’s Family Ministry Building (FMB), as well as remodeling the interior of that building to accommodate a new entrance and improved security features. The initial phase of the next chapter will fund construction of a canopy and entrance on the west side of the FMB (facing Greensboro Avenue).

Through the World Mission Offering (WMO), our church supports missionaries in North America through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, state missionaries through the Myers-Mallory Offering and international missionaries through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

We also support local missions through a gift to the Tuscaloosa County Baptist Association with the Hatchel Offering. In addition, we will set aside funds to assist first-time attenders of a FBC-sponsored international mission trip.

A gift to our World Mission Offering applies toward funding all of these commitments and helps us take the gospel around the world.
