Soup Bowl Serve Project

Help provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family! You may pick up a Soup Bowl grocery bag (or use any reusable fabric bag) and a list of non-perishable food items to purchase to provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four. Items needed are macaroni & cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, instant mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and packaged fruit. An additional donation of $8 with each bag will provide each family with a package of sliced ham for their meal. You may prefer to donate funds to fill a bag & provide ham ($23 per bag). Deadline for bags to be returned to church is Wednesday, November 14.
Groups of volunteers from First Baptist Church will serve lunch at the Community Soup Bowl on Sunday, November 18, and will also help distribute the food bags that day. We will not have a Thanksgiving meal or evening activities at First Baptist on November 18.
How you can help: 1. Fill a bag or donate funds for bags. 2. Help sort and transport our bags to the Soup Bowl on Thursday, November 15 at 9 a.m.

2019 Mission and Ministry Plan

The Pastoral Staff, Stewardship Committee and Deacon Body have all worked together to carefully assemble the proposed 2019 church budget. This year we seek your participation in the approval of the Mission and Ministry Plan in several ways… 1. Please join these groups in praying for God’s leadership as we move toward approval of the plan. 2. Review the plan and ask questions about proposed ministry expenses you are interested in knowing about. Submit your questions to Kris Sullivan at ksullivan@fbctuscaloosa.org before the Budget Presentation meeting on Sunday, November 11. Every effort will be made to answer every question presented. 3. Attend the information meeting on Sunday, November 11 at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall to hear details and ask any additional questions about the plan. 4. A vote to affirm the proposed plan will be held during the morning worship services on Sunday, November 18.
