Are You Leaving a Legacy?
I believe one of the greatest needs
in the Church today is a tangible
and practical ministry of
stewardship and estate planning.
Fifty percent of Americans, and that includes
Christians, do not have a current
will. That is a staggering
statistic; and the ramifications of
an individual not having a will are
immeasurable on their children,
surviving spouses, taxes and fees.
Of course, there are many reasons
why so many people neglect to
prepare a will or do appropriate
estate planning. For example, fear
of dying, procrastination, confusion
about the estate planning process,
the cost of creating a will…and many
more.
That is why here at First Baptist
Church Tuscaloosa we want to serve
you by providing some “layman
friendly” estate planning
information that can help answer
your questions and put your mind at
ease about the estate planning
process.
So, get comfortable and take a few
minutes to browse through this
informative site. If you prefer to
just go ahead and get down to
business, you can click on the
Estate Plan Organizer (EPO) on any
page and walk yourself through a
tutorial/data gathering process. At
the end, you can print it at home or
ask for help. All of the information
you log in is completely
confidential. The EPO does not
ask for social security numbers or
bank account numbers. No one will
see your entries unless you click
submit at the end and ask for
help.
In that case, one of our friends at
the
Baptist
Foundation of Alabama or
our partners at
PhilanthroCorp (a
Christ-centered estate planning
firm) will be in touch with you to
serve you in any way they can.
So click learn more below,
and begin learning how you can
protect your family and be a wise
steward of all the resources that
God has entrusted to you.
