Every Wednesday Night
From 5:45 p.m. to 6:30
p.m.
(August - May)
Children's choir is for
children ages 3-5 and
for children in grades
1-5.
Our purpose in our
children’s choir
ministry is to help
children grow in their
knowledge of God and to
equip them to praise God
through the gift of
music. We desire to help
children understand what
worship is, and give
them opportunities to
lead our congregation in
worship through
participation in special
programs and worship
services.
Our theme for 2010-11 is
"The Great
Adventure."

If God touches your
heart with a desire to
help us minister to
children each week, we
would welcome you as a
part of our team. We
need musical and
non-musical people who
love God and love
children. For more
information about our
choirs or leadership
team, contact Pam Gross
at 205-366-4405 or
pam@fbctuscaloosa.org.
When God created the
universe, He set in
motion the elements that
exist in music-rhythm,
harmony, and melody. At
that time, man was
created in God’s image
and given a soul. Only
man was given a voice
for communicating and
for praising God. Music
is the only art of earth
we shall take to heaven,
and its elements are
deeply embedded in every
life. Every person, from
earliest childhood,
should be exposed to
music and be given
opportunity to show his
adoration, praise, and
thanksgiving through
music.”

Since 1994 our Music
Makers Choirs (Grades
1-3) have participated
in our "Hymns In My
Heart" project. Each
month the children have
a hymn to memorize. They
study the hymn as part
of their weekly choir
session. When you child
has the hymn memorized,
he/she sing the hymn for
a teacher.
At the end of the year,
hymn awards are
presented to each child
who has successfully
completed the project.
The first year's award
of a copy of the The
Baptist Hymnal. CD's are
given the second and
third year.
You will given a booklet
containing the words to
the hymns when your
child is registered for
children's choir.
